Some 30 years ago Helen Long started Padraig.
Returning to her childhood love of wool, after growing up on a hill sheep farm in Scotland she started to develop these cozy and non-skid slippers. Not only influenced by her childhood but also by three fascinating years in small Indian communities in the Northwest territories - Spinning, dyeing, weaving and knitting.
Later Helen and her husband Jeremy set up a traditional cottage industry which today employs over twenty local artisans and as a company with a strong family history continue to support values of quality, craftsmanship and the community spirit.
All Padraig Slippers are handmade in North Vancouver, Canada from pure sheep wool with a soft sheepskin lining and tough leather soles for long lasting comfort.
